POTENSI DAN ANALISIS SENYAWA KERSEN (Muntingia Calabura L.) SEBAGAI ANTIBAKTERI: LITERATUR RIVIEW

Abstract


Latar belakang: Muntingia calabura L. merupakan salah satu tanaman yang termasuk dalam
keluarga Elaeocarpaceae yang dapat digunakan sebagai obat. Komponen kimia senyawa
flavonoid, saponin, dan tanin yang terdapat pada daun kersen dapat berperan sebagai
antibakteri Tujuan: Mengetahui potensi dari daun kersen dan analisis senyawaya sebagai
antibakteri. Metode: Informasi dalam penulisan artikel diperoleh dari berbagai database
seperti science direct, pubMed, Taylor and Francis, Google scholar, DOAJ, OAL jurnal yang
digunakan dari tahun 2013-2020. Hasil: Uji skrining fitokimia membuktikan bahwa ekstrak
daun kersen memiliki kandungan senyawa flavonoid, saponin, tanin, fenolik dan
steroid/terpenoid. Ektrak daun kersen memiliki aktivitas sebagai antibakteri, aktivitas tersebut
karena adanya senyawa flavonoid, saponin dan tanin. Saran: Adanya aktivitas antibakteri dari
daun kersen terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella typhi,
Salmonella typhimurium, Bacillus subtilis , Escherichia coli, Edwardsiella tarda,
Streptococcus viridians, dan Staphylococcus epidermidis.
