EDUKASI PERAWATAN KAKI PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELLITUS TIPE 2
Abstract
Latar Belakang: Kejadian ulkus diabetikum di Indonesia sebesar 12% dan risiko ulkus sebesar 55,4%. Diperkirakan 15 – 25% orang dewasa dengan diabetes tipe 2 mengalami ulkus pada kaki, dan sebanyak 70% mengalami amputasi non-traumatik yang disebabkan oleh komplikasi Diabetes melitus. Foot self-management adalah edukasi tentang pengetahuan dan keterampilan perawatan kaki diabetes. Fenomena yang ditemukan, penderita diabetes belum mendapatkan edukasi tentang foot self-management. Tujuan penelitian : diketahuinya pengaruh edukasi perawatan kaki pada pasien DM tipe 2 untuk mencegah ulkus diabetikum. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan rancangan one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi penelitian adalah pasien diabetes yang melakukan rawat jalan sebanyak 104, sampel yang diambil berjumlah 43 responden dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu Purposive sampling. Kriteria inklusi responden, yaitu menderita diabetes melitus ≥ 6 bulan, Usia tidak lebih dari 55 tahun, gula darah sewaktu ≤ 250 mg/dl. Analisa bivariat menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil Penelitian : menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan edukasi terhadap keterampilan perawatan kaki (p = 0.00). terutama pada senam kaki. Selain itu, program edukasi mampu meningkatkan kemampuan pasien diabetes dalam melakukan foot self-care dengan tepat dan benar. Saran : Ini menunjukkan bahwa program edukasi menggunakan media video sangat direkomendasikan dalam promosi kesehatan.
