ANALISIS SELF-EFFICACY MAHASISWA KEPERAWATAN DALAM PENERAPAN KEPERAWATAN PALIATIF

Abstract


Latar Belakang: Mahasiswa keperawatan dipersiapkan sejak pendidikan akademik untuk memahami penerapan asuhan keperawatan. Berdasarkan data awal didapatkan 36 dari 53 mahasiswa keperawatan tingkat akhir akademik di salah satu universitas swasta Tangerang (67,9%) menyatakan keperawatan paliatif merupakan mata kuliah paling sulit diterapkan dibandingkan mata kuliah klinis lainnya terutama terkait pengkajian. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi gambaran dan menganalisis self-efficacy mahasiswa keperawatan dalam penerapan asuhan keperawatan paliatif. Metode: Penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif pendekatan cross-sectional. Penelitian dilakukan pada satu fakultas keperawatan di satu universitas swasta di Tangerang pada Januari 2024 sampai April 2024. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan convenience sampling yakni sebanyak 194 responden dan instrumen Palliative Care Self-Efficacy Scale (PCSES). Teknik analisa data menggunakan analisa univariat. Hasil: Hasil penelitian didapatkan gambaran self-efficacy mayoritas responden dalam penerapan keperawatan paliatif adalah cukup yakni sebanyak 133 responden (68,6%) dengan self-efficacy paling rendah yakni dalam menjawab pertanyaan pasien tentang proses kematian, dan dalam mendiskusikan keinginan pasien setelah kematiannya, masing-masing sebanyak 66 responden (34%), serta dalam menanggapi dan mengatasi delirium pada kondisi terminal sebanyak 50 responden (25,8%). Saran: Perlu dilakukan pengembangan strategi dan aktivitas pembelajaran secara berkelanjutan untuk memfasilitasi mahasiswa memperoleh pengalaman bermakna yang dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan self- efficacy mahasiswa, khususnya pengalaman terkait kematian dan manajemen kondisi terminal (delirium).
